Trusting God

I have never "blogged" before so this is new territory for me...so I guess what I will do is share what is on my mind today. I went to church last night and really enjoyed the service..the speaker was reading from the bible translation "The Message" Matthew 6:34 really spoke to me.."Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes." My husband Mike was layed off from his job in September after doing the same work for the past 15 years. He is in the process of basically building his own business...as we get closer to seeing this business in action i have been feeling increasingly apprehensive. We have invested money into this thing so with no money coming in we are putting some of our savings into something that could possibly fail. I believe God wants me to have hope that it will work out, assume the best will happen, continue to pray and seek His directon, and if the worst does end up happening and the business does fail that God will get us through it at that time. So, as Matthew 6:34 commands...I am choosing to not get worked up over something that may or may not happen...I am choosing to live for what is happening today and trust that God will take care of our tomarrow.
